A National Trust Property 7 miles north-west of Banbury.
A 17th century mansion, extended and remodeled in the 1920s for the 2nd Viscount Bearsted as a weekend retreat, and as a gallery for his incredible art collection, regarded as one of the nation's most important private collections of the 20th century. Three floors of magnificent tapestries, porcelain and rare works by Hogarth, Stubbs, Canaletto and El Greco. Surrounding the mansion are 32 acres of magnificent gardens set in unspoilt Cotswold countryside

Disabled access to ground floor and new restaurant and upper garden. Motorised buggy available for the garden.

(House open 12pm to 1.00pm by guided tour only). 3 November to 16 December (House ground floor only), Saturday and Sunday, 12.00pm to 4.00pm Garden / restaurant / shop: 3 March to 31 October: Saturday to Wednesday, 11.00am to 5.00pm 1 August to 31 August: Daily, 11.00am to 5.00pm 3 November to 16 December: Saturday and Sunday, 12.00pm to 4.00pm Open Good Friday, house from 12.00pm to 5.00pm, garden from 11.00am to 5.00pm Admission by timed ticket on bank holidays, but visitors may then stay until 5 if they wish.
