The Elsecar Heritage Centre is an Antique, History and Craft Centre set in the attractive conservation village of Elsecar, the Centre is located within the former ironworks and colliery workshops of the Earls Fitzwilliam. Restored buildings now house an antique centre, individual craft and business workshops, the Living History Centre and Building 21, a multi purpose exhibition hall, which holds events most weekends ranging from Antique Fairs to Dog Shows. The Centre also features the Elsecar Railways and the world famous Newcomen Beam Engine. Site open 10am-5pm daily. Free entry to site and free car parking. (Admission prices may be applicable for some events and attractions). Sign posted off the M1 at J36.
