Moyses Hall dates back to 1140-1180 and many striking architectural features can be seen in the building. It has been a museum for over 100 years and houses local history collections relating to the town, Abbey and St. Edmund. Included on display are Mediaeval items, relics from the 'Murder in the Red Barn' and a gallery dedicated to the Suffolk Regiment. Other artefacts on display consist of horology and portraits by artists such as, Sir Peter Lely, Angelica Kauffman and Mary Beale. There is also a gallery that houses changing exhibitions.
