A 3.5-mile preserved railway with a 57-acre museum site and a 35-acre country park with a large collection of working steam and diesel locomotives, a large museum with historic locomotives, coaches and goods vehicles on display. Narrow- gauge and miniature railways operate on summer Sundays with a complete working museum, station, signal boxes and the new Brittain Pit Farm Park.
