This formal Garden, created over the past 20 years on a centuries-old site, is comprised of a number of individual garden rooms each with its own dazzling display of perennials. The Garden has significant collections of roses, clematis, salvias and euonymus. Many of the plants are rare but the way in which colour, form and structure blend together provides the visitor with an unforgettable experience.
The Garden is much photographed and has appeared recently on Gardener's World, Central Television, Granada, HTV and Japanese national television. The Royal Horticultural Society has selected Wollerton as a "partner garden" and the Good Garden Guide has allocated Wollerton its 2-star highest category.
Wollerton Old Hall Garden is a delightful 20th century garden set around a 16th century house (not open to the public). The formal design creates many separate smaller gardens each with its own design and planting.
Also open for Winter Walk: Sunday, 24 February 2008
Bookings may be made for Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Coach parties, however, may also come by appointment on the public opening days. Please contact us for more information.
