Worcestershire's County Museum tells the county's stories through its fascinating and extensive collection of objects, photographs and memories. It houses regionally-significant displays of horse-drawn vehicles - including a splendid collection of six gypsy caravans - costume and archaeology. New, temporary exhibitions are staged each year and planned developments will bring many new objects on display over the next 2-3 years.
The Museum hosts a varied and changing programme of events to complement its exhibitions and full details of these can be obtained by contacting Hartlebury.
One of the Museum's largest and most interesting exhibits is its Hartlebury Castle home. This has been a residence of the Bishops of Worcester for over a thousand years and it continues to provide a home to the current Bishop. New shop, cafe and visitor reception opened in 2006.
