Set in the town's lovely War Memorial Gardens, Kirkcaldy Museum & Art Gallery houses an outstanding collection of 18-21stC Scottish paintings. It boasts the best public collection of work by S J Peploe and William McTaggart outside the National Galleries of Scotland. An award-winning museum tells the story of the social, industrial and natural history of the district. There is a lively changing exhibitions programme and a well stocked gallery shop. The cafe, with its fabulous displays of Wemyss ware, provides a relaxing setting for coffee.
