Home, workplace, gallery and garden of the 'Glasgow Boy', artist E A Hornel (1864-1933). He added a gallery and studio to the 18thC house and was influenced by his visits to Japan in his garden design. He collected a library of about 25,000 books and manuscripts of Dumfries and Galloway interest, including a very important Burns collection.
