Visitor centre housed in a Methodist chapel. Natural history displays which include geology, landscape, archaeology, flora, vegetation, wildlife, food and farming. Coffee shop and gift shop. Ideal base for exploring Teesdale which is very important for its rare birds and many flowering points. Area is very rich geologically.
