The museum, housed in a cottage rebuilt after being burnt by Government troops in 1746, has displays about the history of the clan and its involvement in the 1745 uprising. There are also displays on the Queen's Own Cameron Highlanders Regiment, the Commandos, who trained at Achnacarry in World War II, and the ecology of the surrounding area.
