The museum charts the history of the ancient market town of Steyning and its surroundings over the last 2000 years. Visitors will discover the events which have shaped its history, the secrets of its people and the lives they lived, details of its many timber-framed buildings and the story of its old school and railway. The young-at-heart will enjoy hands-on displays, there is a constant renewal of interest through temporary exhibitions, and anyone wanting to research Steyning or its people has a wealth of material to draw on
