Set high above the River Thames, Cliveden was the glittering hub of society in the early part of the 20th Century when it was the home of the famous Astors. In the Grade I listed gardens you can explore a series of stunning formal gardens, including the breathtaking parterre, with a fine array of statues and sculpture, all set within extensive grounds with splendid views of the river. The magnificent house is now private country house hotel, part of which is open to National Trust visitors on Thursday and Sunday afternoons (April to October).
