The farms are a great day out for everyone, not only do we have fab and fun activities for the kids, but there’s walking, bird watching and picnic areas too. What’s more you’re right on the doorstep of River Lee Country Park, our biggest open space within the Lee Valley Regional Park, stretching some 1,000 acres (400 hectares) it offers some of the most spectacular and interesting sights in the Regional Park.
Hayes Hill Farm is a traditional style farm. With over 200 animals for children of all ages to enjoy and pets including rabbits, pigs, sheep, chickens and goats. Activities include pig racing (The Snout Ledger), lamb racing (The Lamb National), meet the animal shows and seasonal events. Also with plenty of play equipment including ride on tractors, diggers in the sand pit and adventure play equipment.
With a short walk, or at weekends and school holidays, a tractor and trailer ride, you can visit Holyfield Hall Farm, our commercial diary farm. Here you can meet the calves in the Calf Nursery, watch the milking process and go to the highest point in the Lee Valley and with the Talking Telescope see views of the surrounding countryside and London.
