This summer Tate Liverpool will celebrate its twentieth birthday in style - bringing together music, song and dance to celebrate the past, present and future of the gallery.
The Tate first opened its doors on 24 May 1988 and became the first regional gallery to share the Tate Collection not only with art lovers but also encouraging new younger audience to take part through active outreach programme.
Since then it has presented the very best modern and contemporary art, welcomed more than 11 million visitors and played a vital part in the regeneration of Liverpool.
The gallery will be buzzing with activity so whether you simply want to drop in for tea or spend the whole weekend with us we hope you can join in the celebrations.
