First Class Guide to Britain

Join Britain's post men and women as they take you on an exclusive video tour around Britain's best kept secrets.

First Class Guide to Edinburgh

Let post woman Gwen Flemming show you around some of Edinburgh's hidden gems.

Gwen's been a Royal Mail post woman for 25 years delivering mail to all over Edinburgh including the Royal Mile, the Old Town and the Georgian New Town. Elephant House Café in the heart of historic Edinburgh is one of her favourite places on her route. This is where JK Rowling wrote the first 2 Harry Potter books.

Portobello Beach is another of Gwen's surprises. That's right, a beach! Right in the city! Just like Barcelona or Rio Di Janeiro. While Edinburgh might not have the climate of Barcelona and Rio, the activities on offer like blow-karting and kite-surfing are second to none.

It would be easy to miss Gwen absolute favourite place in Edinburgh - this is because it's underneath the streets of the city itself! Directly below the Royal Mile she shows us a series of spooky underground vaults that are said to be haunted by numerous ghosts and ghouls. If you dare, why not take a tour yourself? You can even stay over night!
