Cardiff enjoys a year-round calendar of events, with everything from carnivals, open-air concerts, street theatre and sports.
The Cardiff Festival forms the highlight for the Summer months, taking place throughout July and August. During the Autumn and Winter months a host of sporting events include the Cardiff Marathon, Wales Rally GB, Speedway and of course rugby and football matches a-plenty. Throughout December, the largest open-air ice rink outside London can be found in the city centre and culminates with the New Year celebrations Calennig.
