For live music, there’s a choice of venues including Alexander’s Jazz Theatre Bar and Restaurant at Rufus Court. One of the North West’s leading live jazz venues, it also plays host to rock and blues acts as well as an excellent comedy night. Telfords Warehouse on Tower Wharf is a music venue bar and restaurant rolled into one.
Chester Gateway Theatre has a great variety of performances from stand up comedy to classical opera. Located in the heart of the city, you’ll find plenty of choices for pre and post theatre dinner.
Time your visit to coincide with one of the many festivals in Chester, including the Summer Music Festival in July, the Jazz and Blues Festival in August, or the Literature Festival in October.
