Restaurants

Excellent food is available across the city, much of it served within interesting settings like the Cherwell Boathouse Restaurant and punting station. Gee’s restaurant is housed in a Victorian conservatory that was once a florist’s shop, Freud in a neo-classical former church and Quod a contemporary eating-place in The Old Bank Hotel.

Authentic cuisine from around the world includes the Thai Chiang Mai Kitchen, the Lebanese Al Shami and Moorish Kazbah. There are more exotic restaurants with an ethnic flavour in Jericho or Cowley Road, both within a short walk of the city centre.
