Fuller Smith & Turner
The partnership of Fuller, Smith & Turner has been in existence for over 160 years but the brewery, birthplace of all Fuller's award-winning ales including London Pride and ESB, has stood on the same site for centuries. It is thought that brewing took place here during the time of Oliver Cromwell.
Tours
The site is steeped in history, including the oldest Wisteria plant in Britain. During the tour you will be shown around the heart of the brewery, to see where it all starts and to take in the fabulous smells created by the magical combination of water, malt, hops and yeast.
After the tour, visitors will be taken to the Hock Cellar, the Fuller's Visitor Centre, to find out more about the history and view many interesting artefacts and memorabilia. It is here that visitors can then sample Fuller's range of ales and enjoy a pint of their favourite.
The tour offers beer-lovers the chance to see just how great beer is brewed and shows how modern machinery is combined with traditional brewing methods to produce Fuller's award-winning ales. Tours last an hour and a forty five minutes and run Monday - Friday (except Tuesday) at 1100, 1200, 1300 and 1400.
