St. Peter's Brewery
The brewery at St. Peter's is housed in listed former agricultural buildings which were last used in the late 1960s. They then became derelict but offered a superb site both for a working brewery and a visitor attraction. In the summer the gardens are open and you can feed the black swans and ducks on the moat. Today, the brewery produces 'real ale' and has a capacity of 200 barrels per week (57,600 pints).
Tours
Tours are open to the public on Saturdays and Sundays throughout the year and also on Bank Holiday Mondays. Tours are on the hour from 1200 - 1600 (January only 1200 - 1500). The price for adults is £4.50 which includes a tutored tasting at the end of the tour - there is no charge for accompanied children.
Evening tours are available by special arrangement (the minimum party size is 10). Entertainment and hospitality packages for evening visits can be created to suit your requirements. To avoid disappointment it is best to reserve your place by phone or e-mail.
St. Peter's is laid out in a very logical sequence and this makes it an ideal tour for first-time visitors to a brewery. The visitors centre is located next to the shop where St. Peter's beers and other local quality products are on sale. Its historic half-moated medieval building, St. Peter's Hall, is open for lunches, dinners, drinks and snacks. Reservations are recommended.
