Newbridge
As you make your way along the Thames Path from Lechlade to Newbridge, you’ll notice the river becomes much bigger. This section of the path is home to some great bridges, the oldest of which is at Radcot. You’ll also find Tadpole Bridge, Old Man’s Bridge, Tenfoot Bridge (although it’s much wider than 10 feet) and finally, Newbridge, which dates from the 13th century – not so new!
Oxford
There can be no better way to enter the lovely city of Oxford than to walk in from the north on the Thames Path. For almost 2 miles, the path follows the huge expanse of Oxford’s ancient Port Meadow before taking you into the ancient university city.
