From Wallingford, make your way to Tilehurst along the Thames Path. Tilehurst is a small suburb of the town of Reading in Berkshire. On the way to Tilehurst, you’ll notice hills begin to dominate the scenery. This is the Goring Gap, the narrowest part of the Thames Valley.

Rowing at Henley on Thames

Henley-on-Thames

The next destination on the Thames Path is Henley-on-Thames. Founded in the 12th century, and best known for the annual Royal Regatta, Henley attracts some of the world’s finest rowers to this part of the Thames. Why not have a go at rowing down this part of the river yourself? Or, if you’re not feeling too energetic, take a tour boat.
