Antiques fairs
One of the best opportunities to buy antiques in Britain is at one of the many fairs held throughout the year and in all parts of the country.
BADA
The British Antique Dealers’ Association (www.bada.org), founded in 1918, has set the standard for trading in the antiques business. Members exhibit at fairs, including the annual BADA Fair, and many hold selling exhibitions around the country. The BADA Fair is held every March at the Duke of York’s Headquarters on the King’s Road, London. Around 100 dealers come together under one roof to offer for sale a superb range of fine art and antiques.
The Grosvenor House Art & Antiques Fair
Some of the finest works of art currently for sale anywhere in the world can be seen in the sumptuous, air-conditioned setting of the Great Room of Grosvenor House on London’s Park Lane, when the Art & Antiques Fair (www.grosvenor-antiquesfair.co.uk) takes place each year in June.
