St Peter Port

Today, take a short ferry journey over the Guernsey. The unique laws and customs found on the island mean that many of the day-to-day sights are different from the mainland. The capital, St Peter Port, has been a thriving port since Roman times and exudes a unique island atmosphere.

St Sampson

St Sampson

On to the northern parish of St Sampson. In past times, the northern extremity of Guernsey would separate from the mainland at high tide creating a tidal island. At St Sampson’s harbour, you can visit the site of the bridge that once linked the two parts of Guernsey.
