This newly opened route forms part of the developing National Cycle Network Route 22. Starting on the banks of the River Thames the route travels through parks, riverside path and signed on road sections, forming a ‘green corridor’ through this part of South East London. A newly installed arts programme adds to the experience by providing numbered gateways, viewing platforms and distinctive waymarkers.
The Trail enables users to escape the hectic pace of London and enjoy the heritage, flora and fauna of this chalk stream in relative calm and tranquillity.
