Hampton Court Palace, East Molesey, Surrey

Hampton Court Palace, Henry VIII's riverside home, commands an unrivalled location. The gardens are beautiful, including wilderness, knot and rose gardens and a laburnum walk. The famous maze must be seen, as should the Great Vine, planted in 1768. The recently restored formal privy garden of King William III is another must-see.
