Overview

The Ridgeway National Trail (www.nationaltrail.co.uk/Ridgeway/) runs from the World Heritage Site of Avebury to Ivanhoe beacon. Much of this 85-mile (136 km) trail still follows the same path over the high ground used by travellers, herdsmen and solders since prehistoric times. People have used the Ridgeway for over 6,000 years and have left some great monuments for you to explore.
