Blackberry Wood,Brighton
Blackberry Wood is known as 'the coolest campsite in the UK', and it's not hard to see why. Set in glorious woodland, each pitch has its own little clearing with logs to sit on, and a fireplace where you can make a real fire, get cosy and toast your marshmallows. The area is surrounded by public footpaths and bridleways and you can hire mountain bikes from the shop if you want to explore your surroundings.
Price: Tents - £5 per tent, per night; Adults £6 (April-September), £5 (October-March); Children under 12 £3 (April-September), £2.50 (October-March); Under 3's free. All rates per person per night.

Great family facilities
Clippesby Hall,Norfolk
Clippesby Hall is a great family camping destination. Set in the grounds of an old manor house, it has 8 distinctive areas to pick from, all offering wonderful facilities for families - try Cedar Lawn and South Park - 2 camping areas which are very popular with families. Most of the camping areas have electricity available at each pitch, and there are also family bathroom facilities including hot showers. Clippesby also has a great children's playground and is the perfect base from which to explore the Norfolk Broads National Park.

Great for active families
Gwern Gof Isaf Campsite,Snowdonia National Park,

Gwern Gof Isaf Campsite is beautifully situated on a 750-acre National Trust Farm in the Snowdonia National Park, North Wales. Set in the heart of the mountains it is ideally situated for walking or climbing the surrounding peaks of the Glyders, and the Carneddau. The campsite is perfect for outdoor activities, with climbing & abseiling available on site. And Sir John Hunt stayed here while climbing on Tryfan in training for the ascent of Everest!

Roundhill is a great site if your kids love to run around. The Forestry Commission's Roundhill site has acres of green heathland and forest for your children to explore. The site has enough space for 500 pitches, meaning that your family won't be short of friends to share this wonderful place with. The kids can enjoy junior fishing in the summer months, and in nearby Beaulieu you'll find the National Motor Museum.

Great for a relaxing break
Wellington Country Park,Reading
Set in 350 acres of Parkland, Wellington Country Park is an ideal destination for all the family, with safe play areas, beautiful nature trails, lakeside walks and great camping facilities including a laundry with washing machine and tumble dryer. There are plenty of pitches to choose from, including premium pitches, which have private barbeques and picnic tables. The nearby attraction of Legoland is sure to be a hit with your kids.

Great for keeping the family busy
Trevornick Holiday Park,Cornwall
For a great family camping holiday with plenty to keep the family amused, head to Trevornick Holiday Park in Cornwall.
