Lunch in High Street Arcade

Eating out

Cardiff has a great reputation for fine dining, with the chefs being lucky enough to have some of the best produce to work with - magnificent Welsh lamb, quality vegetables, superb fish, shellfish and wild salmon.

Complementing the city’s constantly rising profile on the world stage, new exciting restaurants are emerging everywhere with a seemingly endless choice of cuisine and Cardiff is also the world’s first FairTrade capital city.

In the city centre’s café Quarter and new Brewery Quarter, you can wine and dine al fresco at a wide range of restaurants – from tapas to Thai. Since the redevelopment of Cardiff Bay, the waterfront has become a lively, exciting area with over 30 restaurants and bars to cover all tastes.
