Gay Manchester

Getting there

Manchester Airport is the UK's third largest with intercontinental and European connections including direct flights from the USA. It's a 20-minute drive, or 15 minutes by train to the centre of the city.

Getting around

Within the city, free Metroshuttle buses circle through the downtown area connecting the gay village with Oxford Road Station, Deansgate, Exchange Square and Urbis. For slightly longer journeys Metrolink streetcar lines are the best way to reach Salford Quays for the Lowry Gallery and Imperial War Museum north. The main bus terminal is at Piccadilly Gardens, and there is a night bus service on Friday and Saturday nights out to the suburbs. For more info visit GMPTE (www.gmpte.com/).
